Making an Order
Goods may be ordered online or in person at the ‘Studio’. All online transaction information is encrypted using Secure Trading software. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and we never see card details when an order is placed online. You can be completely secure in the knowledge that none of your personal information can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information.
Purchases Online
Add any item(s) that you wish to purchase into the shopping cart and when you have finished selecting items simply click on ‘checkout’ and you will be directed to provide details that we need to be able to complete the order. Order acceptance and the commencement of the contract between you and us will take place on the despatch to you of the products ordered unless we have notified you that we do not accept your order, or you have cancelled it before despatch. The display of items for sale on our website is only an invitation to treat.
Payment
We operate a secure payment system on our website. However, you may telephone us with credit card details if you do not wish to use them on the website. All orders must be paid for prior to dispatch unless credit terms have been agreed. We take all major credit cards or UK cheques. Payment by cheque should be made out to ‘Glass Art by Ray Collins’.
Delivery/Dispatch
We will accept orders from any country where Royal Mail delivers.
Glass Supplies ? Orders will be dispatched within 5 working days, although we endeavour to issue most orders the day after the placing of the order. Orders over 2kg will normally be sent out by a courier service. Boxed orders will usually require the customer to be present to accept the goods. Orders which, after repeated attempts, cannot be delivered due to there being no one to accept them, will incur resending charge.
Glass Art ? If the item is already in stock then the item will be delivered in accordance with the above delivery terms. If however we are requested to make a specific item, then the procurement period will be discussed based upon the scope of works.
We aim to deliver goods within our quoted delivery times. However we cannot be liable for any loss caused to you by late delivery. If the goods are not delivered within the delivery time that we quote, please contact us by email. Delays around Christmas and Bank Holidays are normal. However, we will try to ensure that you receive your order as quickly as possible.
Prior to dispatch items are checked as part of the packaging process and verified as good to deliver.
Out of Stock items
If an item is not in stock we will aim to notify you within 24 hours whereby we will offer you the choice of (1) waiting for the item to be stocked and dispatched as soon as it comes into stock, (2) a refund/cancellation for the item.
Packing and postage charge
All packing and carriage charges including surcharges are listed elsewhere on this website.
Oversize or large sheets of extremely delicate glass may have to be sent on a pallet and will incur an additional charge.
Sizes of items sold
Tolerances are +/- the thickness of the glass.
Ownership
In so far as any money whatsoever is outstanding, any goods supplied will remain property of Glass Art by Ray Collins, and must be identified as such, until payment is made in full.
VAT
VAT is charged at the UK standard rate on all items delivered to a UK address and included within the price for the item. Customers in the EU will only be exempt from VAT if a company VAT number and trading address is supplied. Sales outside the EU are exempt from VAT but import tax may be charged by the local Customs office.
Returns
We feel sure that you will be satisfied with your purchase. However, if you are not happy with your order please contact us on 07769632302. Goods can only be returned within 30 days of purchase and only by prior arrangement; the cost of return will be the responsibility of the customer. Returned goods should be sent by registered post or carrier.
In accordance with the Distance Selling Regulations, an order can be cancelled in writing within 7 working days of delivery if boxed with all original packaging. The product should be in unused and in perfect condition, whereby a refund will be provided less the costs of carriage.
The goods have to be sent back at your own cost.
Guarantee
We give no additional guarantee on any product other than the guarantee issued by the manufacturer. Any disputes will be deemed to be in accordance with Law of England & Wales
Consistency of Materials and Goods
Due to the manufacturing process, the colours of certain glass may vary from sheet to sheet and is to be expected when ordering such materials and as we purchase such materials from the glass manufacturers we will not be responsible for such variances. Likewise our glass art is hand made and may differ slightly from the item contained within the sales details.
Privacy Policy
We consider your privacy as a high priority. Your personal information for online transactions is encrypted and we never see unencrypted information.
We need your name, billing address, phone number, email address and credit card information to complete transactions on-line. We may need to utilise your address to provide to couriers etc. for delivery of goods.
Our normal method of contact will be via email, or by phone.

To assist the technical process ?cookies? may be used to assist on-line administration.
Consequential Loss
We will not be responsible for any losses resulting from your use or the inability to use our website or resulting from unauthorized access to, or alteration of your transmissions or data in circumstances which are beyond our control.
We will not be responsible for your loss of profits, wasted expenditure, corruption or destruction of data or any other loss which does not directly result from something we have done wrong.
You will be responsible if you use this website in breach of these terms of use and will reimburse us for any loss that you cause to us as a result of your misuse.
We are not responsible to you if we are unable to provide our internet services for any reason beyond our control.
Claims & Damages
If for any reason the goods you purchase are damaged upon receipt by you, then you must notify us within 4 working days of delivery. We will endeavour to deal with such cases as quickly as possible.
Health & Safety
The purchaser is required to us all goods in the manner for which they are intended and in accordance with respective safety standards.
Non specific
We endeavour to respond to complaints as soon as possible.
